Hello there, I'm Ashley, the founder / designer behind Ashfall Design Studio. Currently, based in Oceanside, California, where I recently moved with my husband as we’re preparing to welcome our first baby.

Hello there, I'm Ashley, founder / designer behind Ashfall Design Studio. Currently, based in Oceanside, California, where I live with my husband as we’re preparing to welcome our first baby.

I grew up on stories of my family’s entrepreneurial roots in Mexico and my grandparents’ immigration to Los Angeles in the 70s. I come from a long line of ambitious and daring people, so you could say it runs in my blood.

I have two beautiful guitars, I love to crochet, and I practice insect pinning and preservation

my story

the beginning

My first encounter with web design was in a high school coding class.

I learned HTML and suddenly hours felt like seconds. I got lost in the rhythm of coding, the process of creating something from nothing, and I still do. After that first spark I knew it was something I wanted to pursue.

the building

I applied to college for web design, but the year I enrolled the program merged with the graphic design program so I double majored in web and graphic design.

At this time, I also interned at a women's co- working space and spent my free time attending women's conferences which helped shaped the way I think about business, community, and design.

In the field

My first job out of college was at an advertising agency, where I made weekly ads for a local newspaper, made promotional posters, and even my first billboard.

I was hired as a graphic designer and I was able to really hone in on my love for it.

Constant growth

I have since worked some pretty diverse roles that constantly pushed and challenged me creatively.

I spent some time as a product and type designer and in my most recent role, I reconnected with my first love of designing websites and fully dove into brand development.

the big step

My list of credentials quite literally goes on and on. I am very proud of where I am at now and how much I’ve perfected my craft.

I found myself wanting to invest in my own ideas. I’ve worked under a couple talented mentors who ultimately had the final say in the design process, and it made me curious about what I could create if I had the freedom to fully explore and execute my own vision.

From that Ashfall Design was born. Officially started April 2025

I started sharing some passion projects on social media and building a genuinely wholesome and supportive community through that.

It has only been a year but I am so grateful for everything I’ve learned so far. Here's to many more years of creating, learning and growing.
